Weapons & Armor

Climbsuit- Wearing a Climbsuit upgrades the ability of the wearer's checks to climb or rappel down a surface once. The Climbsuit also reduces damage and strain suffered from falling by 5 and reduces any Critical Injury results from falling by 10.

Knockout Grenade- the poison gas lingers for two rounds, affecting anyone caught in the cloud. If the grenade is detonated in a closed, poorly ventilated space, such as a small room or narrow starship corridor, the gas lingers for five rounds instead. Poison gas grenades do not harm droids and other creatures that do not breathe air. Characters equipped with vacuum-sealed suits, breath masks, respirators, or rebreathers are also unaffected by poison gas, at the GM's discretion

Personal Gear

Hand scanner- Multipurpose tool that can be used to gather more information on a variety of subjects

Antitox mask- Oxygen is considered dangerous atmosphere with rating 8. You may survive in a vacuum for up to 5 minutes

Utility belt- Increases encumbrance threshold by 1

Modular Backpack frame- increases encumbrance threshold by 6 and includes a temperature control unit, this unit includes a specialized bodysuit that attaches to it, removing up to two setback dice from the user's checks to resist extreme heat or cold.

Slicer- Some form of slicing tool is needed to attempt slicing at all. This can be a temporary tool like a dataspike, but is more commonly a permanent set of slicer gear. At the GM's discretion, a slicer might be able to break into a relatively unsecured system with little more than a datapad and some ingenuity, although attempting the job with limited resources could impose one or more setback dice on the check.

Dockyard Expertise 1 The character may make an Average difficulty Knowledge (Education) check when at a dry dock with suitable personnel and equipment to conduct repairs to a starship, or to add attachments or modifications to one. If successful, the cost and time for repairs is reduced by 20% for each rank of Dockyard Expertise to a minimum of 100 credits and one day.
Grit 1 Each rank of Grit increases a character's strain threshold by one.
Eye for detail 1 After rolling the dice pool for a Mechanics or Computers check but before interpreting the results, the character may voluntarily suffer a number of strain no greater than ranks in Eye for Detail to convert that many success results into advantage results. (The character must still have at least one success in the results at the end to succeed on the check.)
Solid Repairs 1 Whenever the character repairs hull trauma on a starship or vehicle, [they] repair one additional hull trauma per rank of Solid Repairs.
Known Schematic 1 Once per game session, the character may spend a maneuver to make a Hard difficulty Knowledge (Education) check. Success means they are familiar with a building or capital ship's design. They now know the location of critical components or facilities within the ship or vehicle, as well as their own location. They can also plan unconventional routes around obstacles. Additional success, advantage or triumph results can reveal other useful information at the GM's discretion.

Expertise: The character wants to excel in their chosen profession and constantly practices to achieve perfection. Alternatively, this character picks a skill or two in which to excel.

Obligations

Contracted: The Colonist has entered into a long-term contract with a corporation or government related to their work at a colony. In many cases, these contracts are how colonists pay their passage to the new world — a form of indentured servitude. Colonists might be contracted to provide bookkeeping, labor, or any other number of services. Failure to live up to a contract can result in financial penalties, imprisonment, deportation, or earning a bounty.
