Background
Raised in a backwater Jedi temple satellite, Odaan was taken from his home planet of Orto at a young age he was raised by the Jedi's in the temple and was made a padawan and taken under his masters wing, due to the location of the temple the problems that they went to solve in the galaxy were mostly just farming disputes and the occasional pirate. After a long 18 years he was promoted to the rank of Jedi knight just in time for the clone wars, now he is a soldier who is under a massive amount of culture shock due to the change in problems that he has to solve. He has to work to become a better general and leader and Jedi.
Motivation
Motivation= A overwhelming urge to serve the republic and protect the men in his squad. His goal is protect the weak and he'll do this by putting himself between the weak and what may harm them and take it head on.
Additionally, as he was promoted to Jedi Knight in a rather rushed fashion he has an urge to prove that he is ready for the responsibility that can manifest in reckless behavior if he doesn't recognize it.
Duty= Combat Victory; as a newly appointed "general" Odaan wishes to lead the men he's in charge of to victory in order to prove his readiness, and to further the goals of the republic, council, and all the people of the republic by restoring peace.
