Background
Kree-tek was born and raised on the Whiphid home planet of Toola. The youngest of his family, he was also the "runt of the litter" for a long time, not hitting the Whiphid equivalent of puberty until very late for a Whiphid. This led to struggles for Kree-tek from both a tribal and practical standpoint, as he was viewed as a liability by some.
While he rarely had to deal with physical attacks from others of his kind, he was often left to fend for himself on hunts in an effort to prove his worth, which motivated him to work even harder on his fighting prowess so he could bring down the same creatures his larger tribemates could. And during those times when he did face potentially volatile situations from his tribemates, he worked very hard to convince them that violence wasn't the answer. Because he doesn't feel it should be.
The irony is that after he did finally go through a massive growth spurt that left him towering over many that had looked down on him, he still doesn't like to or want to fight. He's just pretty good at it so if he can't convince someone to stand down, he'll make sure he puts them down as quickly and as gently as possible.
Recently, a wanderlust or other power has pulled him off-planet on a quest for greater meaning or purpose to his life.
Motivation
Faith in the Goodness of People
Despite the overwhelming presence of the Empire everywhere and the fact that more than a few of his fellow Whiphids have left Toola to serve as bodyguards for Imperial officials, he hasn't really been touched directly by their actions due to his remote upbringing, so he doesn't know the full scope of what they represent beyond rumours and third-party stories of things that happened to others. However, he definitely feels like it can't be as bad as people say and he can't believe that people would go along with some of the stories he's heard because at their core, people are usually good, kind, and helpful to each other. Like a tribe. As it should be.
Morality
Morality Score: 50
Strength - Mercy
Kree-tek is more than capable of ripping people apart and using his size and strength for negative purpose, but that's not his way at all. Even when being insulted and attacked, he makes a concerted effort to keep himself under control so that he doesn't overly hurt someone. "Reasonable, not excessive, force" is his guiding principal should things get physical. An injured foe can change their ways, especially if they can find the strength of the Force within them. A little bit of the Force is lost when someone is killed.
Weakness - Naivete
Kree-tek's first instinct is to take people at their word and by their actions, and he has trouble seeing through deception and subterfuge. Things were simple on Toola and people spoke their mind. As he meets new people and new species, he finds it difficult to see through the duplicity of the less scrupulous.
Description
Standing over 2.4 meters tall (around 8 feet), Kree-tek is tall, even for a Whiphid. His fur is a leathery brown colour, with a notable streak of white that runs in a snake-like curl around and up his right arm. His other distinguishing feature is his eyes, which are a nearly purple shade of blue, and appear purple in certain light.
He's been away from his home planet of Toola for awhile and has lost some of his fur and blubber mass, but he's still a muscular and imposing individual to most species.
