Background

Kerun was a promising youngling at the Jedi temple on coruscant during the Clone Wars. He survived Anakin Skywalker's brutal slaughtering of his peers due to Jedi Master Saesee Tiin receiving a vision of the coming event. The Iktochi master sent the youngling off on a carrier ship in disguise, heading for their home planet, the moon of Iktoch, with strict instructions never to reveal his connection to the force or his past as a Jedi in training. On route to the gas giant, the carrier ship was attacked by space pirates. Though he managed to get to an escape pod, the heavy crash landing on a close remote planet left him unconscious, with a severe head injury. After waking, he was attacked by the local predators. Though he had no recollection of his past or connection to the force, instinctively he was able to fend off the beasts with his bare hands using his instincts skills. Having witnessed this, a local crime lord gave him shelter and took him under his wing. Wishing to manipulate the youngling into a weapon, the crime lord told Kerun that for an unknown reason, the members of his species used their inerrant powers of the mind to wipe his memory, strip him of his identity and exile him from their homeworld. After years of fighting and training, the crime lord passed away and Kerun decided he would roam the galaxy, fighting for whoever paid him the most, all the while desperately searching for his true purpose.

Motivation

Obligations

Betrayal: Due to his lack of memories prior to his waking, as well as the lies spun to him by crime lord. Kerun believes that he was exiled, abandoned and had his memory wiped by the elders of his race. Though a respectful and honourable mercenary, he feels an incredibly deep sense of betrayal, heartbreak and bitterness towards other Iktochi. He fights to cut off his own telekinetic powers and visions of the future in an attempt to distance himself further from the species that left him for dead.

Description

Kerun has the typical build of an Iktochi, though slightly taller. Muscular and sturdy, his skin is red, thick and resistant to harsh atmospheres, again standard for members of his race due to their harsh, dry homeworld. He has half of his left horn missing, though currently growing back, a result of a recent mission and a scar that runs from just under his left eye down to the side of his mouth. At the very tip of his right horn, he has a ring piercing.

Other Notes

Though angry about his past and rather lost regarding his purpose in the galaxy, Kerun is incredibly honorable sensitive. The anger and bitterness he feels towards his race stems from the deep heartbreak and sadness that he feels due to his belief that he was abandoned. He actively attempts to suppress his innate telekinetic and prophetic visions due to not allowing it to be used for the wrong reasons. He is incredibly loyal to whoever his current employer is, a result of his constant want and need for a purpose in life. The only problem that arises with being loyal to an employer...is that loyalty can be bought.
