Background

The past lives on, even when all those who were there to witness it have become one with the Force. Whether holocrons, ancient lightsabers, or personal journals, relics of the past are some of the galaxy's strongest connections to its once-thriving Force-using traditions, which are now all but annihilated.

Some Consulars recognize these relics as tangible and vital links to a bygone era and actively seek these treasures of insight in forgotten and abandoned places. More dangers than finding them is keeping them, however. Those who are caught carrying a Jedi holocron, Sith artifact, or other trinket are instantly branded traitors by the Empire. They are hunted to the farthest reaches of the Outer Rim Territories, and even beyond. However, this does not stop the seekers of relics.

Consulars know that if balance and peace are to return to the galaxy and those strong in the Force are to have a place in it, a connection to the past must be maintained - even strengthened - with the recovery of these lost artifacts. Relic seekers who discovers a dark side artifact may unknowingly be carrying the very thing that will undo them, in the hope that it can be protected from the prying eyes and machinations of greater evil.

The Sage knows that wisdom can be found in the words of elders from the past - but few such mentors remain. Many Sages instead search for records left behind by lost masters of the Force. But their truths were hidden (or even destroyed) by the Empire for a reason: the truth is the most dangers weapon in the battle against the Empire. Those who search for it are the most wanted beings in the galaxy, which forces Sages to conduct their searches with a level of awareness that borders on paranoia.

Motivation

Growth (The Jedi Order)
Many Consulars believe the only way to restore peace and harmony to the galaxy is to rebuild the Jedi Order. This means not only locating and training other Force sensitives. but also convincing those in hiding to do the same. It can also mean helping those fallen to the dark side become Jedi once again. Consulars with this Motivation may wish to spread the ideals of the Jedi Order, even to those who cannot touch the Force.

Morality

MORALITY D = 50/50 = L (+10 XP)

Curiosity: The search for knowledge never ends, and the character is driven to discover all that the galaxy has to offer. Understanding all things and all beings drives the character to seek out wisdom wherever it may be found.

Obsession: The character can become fixated on a particular area of knowledge and cast aside prudence and patience in a self-serving desire to achieve ultimate enlightenment.

Description

Other Notes

Wound Threshold: 11 + Brawn
Strain Threshold: 10 + Willpower

BORN: 20 BBY on Coruscant
CHILDHOOD: Parents move to Mirial just weeks before the creation of the Galactic Empire where they worked on droids and ships.
YOUNG TEEN YEARS: Ziva was always curious about the universe around her, gazing at stars and ships and the strange myriad of species that came through the port her parents worked at. As crossed her thirteenth, Ziva began to feel strange powers well within her, powers her parents tried desperately to hide. When an Imperial agent accosted her mother then killed her father, Ziva snapped and her powers manifested. Within seconds, Ziva had killed the agent and his retinue but also injured her parents in the process. Panicking, she stole credits from the corpses, bade her injured parents farewell, and took off.
OLDER TEEN YEARS: Ziva flitted around the galaxy, getting minor odd jobs here and there (typically at whatever planet's museums or academies were around and willing to hire her on temporarily for little pay). In these jobs she picked up knowledge that the Empire would like others to forget, such as knowledge of the Jedi and their powers which are much like hers. It was also in this time she met Hethan Romund, a "simple scholar" who actively (but discretely) works to preserve the knowledge of the Jedi and their ways.
