Background

Growing up, Emer didn’t have many friends. He kept to himself and his studies socializing very little with others. He is smart and has a sharp mind but he is physically small and is clumsy. Always being dwarfed and picked on by other kids, he learned to defend himself and is a decent fighter up close; he won’t look for a fight but he will if he needs to.

He was a curious child so he enjoyed tinkering with tools; building, dismantling or modifying anything he could get his hands on was a favorite pastime for him. When he finished his schooling, he decided to apply and was hired as a member of a traveling engineering crew. Employed by Aerotek, Emer is sent out on calls to repair ships in duress.

Recently, he had a contract that sent him to a somewhat risky job in the Outer Rim, fixing a stranded cargo ship as part of a repair crew. While on board the troubled ship, a pirate attack forces Emer to abandon ship in the escape pod to a nearby planet.

Motivation

Modification: Emer loves to extend the usefulness of a device or program by boosting its abilities or giving it new functions. He often adds new parts or code to the original item, ceaselessly fiddling with it even after its function is what most would consider optimal.

Droid Companion: Takes care of his three DUM-series droids named Scrap, Fill-up and Wrench.
