Background
Failed Actor
Growing up as a clawdite on Zolan he was naturally marginalized by Zolanders. While many clawdites tended to use their shapeshifting skills to help them as mercenaries and spies, Gil however found another calling to use his talents, acting. he trained and took acting and stage combat classes and managed to get some roles in small plays, but had difficulty finding work due to the discrimination against clawdites. his difficulties finding work only got worse as imperial presence grew on Zolan making artistic jobs even more scarce. he decided he needed money and to get a job, but had trouble finding any job. he resented the empire for impending on his acting dreams and decided to join the rebel alliance to take them down. as he enlisted into training there was a clerical error and they were not sure what he had applied for and mistakenly assumed it was to be a spy due to his race. he, however, found himself good at it using his previously learned acting skills to deceive guards and his stage combat in real combat and therefor learned rather quickly. he now works for the rebel alliance using his acting skills to help as a spy and believing himself to still be an actor with the personas he takes up to be characters and his missions to be great plays.
Motivation
Creations: Art
While what he does may not traditionally be considered art. he believes himself to be an actor and that his taking on personas for the mission is a form acting, while his missions are like great plays in which he is the star. he approaches his personas similar to how a roleplayer would coming up with backstories for them even when it is not necessary and saying and doing things he believes the character would do.
