Background

One of the resistance leaders who plotted against the Imperials on the day of Sa'Kalla's death in the Pipada Auditorium. Yeb spent months watching the Imperials and their organizational skills, actions and reactions to situations on Pipada. He came up with tactical plans for the attack and the rebellion against the Imperials on the day his species rioted against the oppression on Pipada. Yeb, Pao, his best friend and hundreds of other Drabatan left Pipada when the Galactic Empire took over his home world shortly after Sa'kalla's death. The Imperial retaliation against Pipada was swift and fierce. A few thousand Drabatan barely escaped the planet.

Yebadak Vok Doon freelance studies tactical warfare and teaches others methods on how to defeat these factions, whether it is Imperials, Separatists, Pirates or other military groups.

Motivation

View of the Empire: The Alliance to Restore the Republic may exist for the sake of undoing the terrible mistake of allowing Palpatine’s rise to power, but the Rebellion is sustained on the backs of those who seek to overthrow the Empire because of the evil it has wrought across the galaxy. Millions—perhaps billions by now—have already died or suffered horribly under its harsh rule, and a huge portion of the rank-and-file among the Alliance’s forces come from families, planets, and even entire systems that have been victimized.

The Empire’s “pro-human” philosophy is perhaps one of the greatest propaganda tools the Alliance enjoys. Species that have known respect and admiration for their contributions to galactic civilization for millennia now find themselves marginalized. Their people second-class citizens of the Empire at best, and slaves all too often, more and more of the governments representing these species are throwing in their lot with the Alliance. These beings bring with them their skills, talents, resources, and passionate desire to live peacefully with their fellow sentients throughout the galaxy to the battle against Emperor Palpatine’s “humans first” policies.

The war machine of the Empire is voracious in its hunger, and those who seek to feed it have little or no compulsion against using wide-scale slave labor to obtain the resources and build the countless machines it needs. Entire planets and civilizations have suffered the fate of Kashyyyk and its indigenous Wookiees, enslaved en masse by the Empire and put to work. Individuals who have managed to avoid capture, or who are rescued by others, often sign on with the Alliance for the chance to strike back and, perhaps one day, free their people. Not surprisingly, the Alliance goes out of its way to free such beings whenever possible.

Death and destruction are also frequent tools employed by Imperial forces for the sake of enforcing order and the Emperor’s will. Any signs of opposition are usually answered with arrests, followed by banishment to distant prisons and labor camps, or outright executions. On grander scales, the Emperor employs overwhelming assault forces or orbital bombardment. Emperor Palpatine is satisfied to rule by fear, ensuring that dozens of planets within a sector bow to his will with the utter destruction of one. While this strategy keeps many systems in line, those that survive his reprisals almost invariably sign on with the Rebellion for a chance to strike back on behalf of the many who have been lost.

Obligations

Favour (15) - Yeb owes favours to three individuals from his past experiences.

Dak Suun: the Xexto smuggler pilot who snuck the Drabatan off of Pipada during the Empire's invasion shortly after the death of Sa'Kalla. Dak Suun is an accomplished smuggler and pilot who had been frequently smuggling weapons to Pipada with Big Bessy a Gallofree Yards Maka-Eekai L4000 Transport. On the day of parting Big Bessy had narrowly escaped the two Star Destroyers with its 231 illegal passengers. Big Bessy was never meant to be a passenger ship, especially for that many Drabatan. Dak Suun holds all Drabatan he transported on Pipada's Imperial invasion day accountable for his barely functioning ship he had to scrap due to the heat the Imperials Dak Suun lost a fortune on that dreaded day. Dak Suun took the Drabatan as far as Numidian Prime.

Ulyari Kyon:

Kadda Xin: a human smuggler who runs an underground cell for obtaining weapons, munitions and other military paraphernalia who Yeb had previously received items from on multiple occasions.

Other Notes

Yeb instructs through respect. Respect is earned through one's actions and works better than fear. Yeb notices the strengths of an individual and will subliminally use imply the other person to make the choice to believe in themselves to be able to make great feats happen. ie: for a pilot, Yeb will say something like "I've seen you navigate the canyons of Tantoween and your skills can get us through this asteroid belt to avoid those 6 Tie fighters."
