Background
I was born in a Black Sun brothel on Ord Mantell. My mother was a Twi’lek slave dancer, and I was told one of the best, although I have no memory of her and never actually learned her name. Not that I’ve ever really cared to learn it.
At the age of five I was sold to Sutha the Hutt and sent to live on Nal Hutta. The goal of my purchase by Sutha was to grow into a slave dancer similar to my mother. I was trained to dance, but was never really very good. Most of my childhood was spent in the bowels of Sutha’s palace on Nal Hutta with an elderly bothan by the name of Kin Gihaar. He was already old when I first met him, so by the time I reached my late teens he was venerable. Kin was the mechanic and computer specialist under Sutha, and basically kept everything running. Kin took me under his wing when I first arrived on Nal Hutta, teaching me everything about fixing things and hacking into computers. As I neared my 15th year, it started to get obvious I was never going to be a tall, flexible Twi’lek dancer. Sutha was certainly upset his investment had been wasted, but, fortunately for me, the Empire was starting to crack down on his territory. He swore he would sell me when he got around to it. I descended into the depths with Kin, and Sutha appeared to forget about me.
About a year ago, Sutha was killed on some distant space station. And his daughter, Khetta, took over. She was ruthless and wanted the organization to spend less of its time on frivolities and pleasure and turn its attention to once again being ruthless. This meant she needed to clean house. Apparently in going over the books she somehow found out about me. She sent three Gamorrean Guards to retrieve me. Kin discovered they were coming and so I hid. The good thing about Gamorreans: they aren’t very bright and are easy to fool. The bad thing: they are also easy to anger. When Kin wouldn’t give me up to them, they slaughtered him. Even though I was stored in a nearby crate, I witnessed the whole thing. I held my breath to keep them from hearing my sobs as they killed him. I stayed hidden, for as long as I could. By the time they were gone, and I was able to get to Kin, he was gone.
I swore then to no longer be a slave. Using my skills I hacked into the computer system and had myself erased from Khetta’s files. I took what I could and escaped. My tools belonged to Kin, and I cherish them. My only other possession was a silly little pit droid we named Dum-Dum. He’s not the smartest droid, and isn’t even able to do any actual repairs. He’s really only good at bringing me the tools I need. He’s also compact. When I boop him on the snoot he collapses so I can put him in my backpack. Still, he’s the only thing left which really reminds me of Kin.
After our escape I swore to end slavery whereever I found it, or to at least free any slaves I come across.
Motivation
