Background

RK-00, also called Rook, is a BX-series commando droid and a veteran of the Clone Wars. After accidentally avoiding the CIS Droid Army's shutdown signal broadcast thanks to being under the command of General Kalani, RK-00 found himself a droid without cause as the Republic reformed itself into the Empire. His enhanced cognitive processing had developed more and more without restriction during the Clone Wars, and he had reached sapience by the time Order 66 was issued. As a result, the rise of the Empire led RK-00 to decide to leave General Kalani's ranks in order to seek his own fortune. RK-00 knew the end of the CIS meant he would need to finance his own maintenance and upgrades, so he chose to make use of his programmed excellence in clandestine operations and stealth warfare by becoming a bounty hunter.

Motivation

Quiet Professionalism - RK-00 believes that his work is best done when it leaves no questions, witnesses or loose ends behind. He knows that creating unnecessary problems make the job harder, so he prefers to stick to effective and practical methods while working a commissioned job.

Obligations

+15 Vigilante - RK-00 correctly believes the Empire is nothing but a new face for his old enemy, the Republic. As such, he finds himself drawn to conflict zones throughout Imperial space where he may find chances to show the Empire that the Droid Army never truly died. While he prefers being paid, RK-00 will occasionally go after Imperial forces purely for the love of the game rather than profit.

Description

RK-00/Rook's body is painted a very dark, light-absorbent black to aid in visual stealth. His joints and faceplate are unpainted steel, shined to a dull satin finish. He wears a dark, poncho-like hooded robe that conceals the chest rig and gear he commonly carries on his person.
