Background

Ye’entko's began life in the royal palace of Toydaria, the bastard son of the crown prince and a scullery maid. Ye’entko was never legitimized by the royal family, but because of his parentage his mother was able to secure a place for him alongside royalty at a boarding school on Nar Shaddaa. It was there he learned the ins and outs of political intrigue and backstreet deals and that one never had to get one's hands dirty.

As he grew older, he used his position within the court to secure an apprenticeship with the Toydarian representative to the Senate, Senator Fwaqo. Fwago was a fat, inept Toydarian whose main goal in life was to collect as many bribes as possible to support a lavish lifestyle. Ye’entko used this much to his profit, keeping on file many holopics of the senator in the throes of wild parties just in case. With a particularly juicy picture of the Senator and his Whipid lover in hand, Ye’entko coerced the governor into granting him the title of Lord Protector of Toydaria, which was unprecedented seeing as Ye’entko was not officially seen as royalty. This granted him complete access to Senate floor for the purpose of lobbying, making connections, and even serving as a Senate advisor. After several years, it was an open secret that Fwaqo simply signed off anything that Ye’entko served him which essentially made him the defacto contact for any business relating to Toydaria. Second lesson, real power comes to those who take it.

With this advancement, Ye’entko managed to increase the influence of Toydaria, currying favor with the Senate especially in dealing with the Hutt Cartels and other Mid Rim and Outer Rim governments and corporations. His expertise in aggressive negotiation caused him to be greatly sought out to deal with entities throughout the Galaxy.

His increased jaunts to other worlds led him to discover something incredibly life changing. During a routine diplomatic visit, Ye’entko was given an ancient ceremonial dagger as a diplomatic overture. In the subsequent days and nights, visions were triggered of an ancient mystic who instructed Ye’entko in the ways of the force. While these dreams have largely subsided, they have constituted a turning point for him.

Using these newfound skills, Ye’entko has managed to control large swaths of power in the Senate, yielding unprecedented influence for a non-Senator, even negotiating major treaties and laws. He is frequently contracted by the Diplomatic Corps for special missions. This is extremely acceptable to him, as he is able to leave at will and accomplish his own aims while still having access to the seats of power.

Motivation

Ambition- Ye’entko has learned from an early age that power and influence is the method to getting what you want in life. Once he wanted to be King of Toydaria, as in his mind he was owed it. However, he has been surprised at the level he has been able to achieve, so no longer is he interested in regional power. He wants to be a player on the galactic scene.

Morality

Ambition/Greed- While not exactly evil (yet), Ye’entko is highly ambitious and is not be above nefarious dealings to get his way. In fact, his position has been earned through a high volume of blackmail and other political intrigue. Learning secrets and manipulation others is his way of taking advantage of situations for his own gain. (50 Morality)

Duty-Political Support- officially Ye’entko is employed by the diplomatic corps to help solve conflicts, convince new systems to join the Republic, and protect from political threats. (10 Duty)

Obligation-Betrayal- Ye’entko occasionally uses his position to make promises he never intends to keep. While he is pretty savvy on limiting the power of the discontented, it has been known to cause him trouble from time to time (20 Obligation)

Description

Ye’entko is a immaculately dressed Toydarian, though somewhat on the flashy side, who enjoys the finer things in life. His physical looks are fairly standard for Toydarians, though perhaps downright ugly to non-Toydarians. He sometimes wears a single eyepatch due to an optical disease suffered as a child. However, he carries himself with a commanding presence and has sufficient charm to manage his way through most situations.
