Dangrum left his family on Drall soon after some of his less-than-legal interests and friends came to light. Hitching a ride off planet on a passing freighter as a mechanic, Dangrum was ready to start fresh on a new world. On the way to [PLANET]'s largest starport, the freighter was boarded by "associates" of the captain. Dangrum wasn't about to let his ride get killed, so he sprang some of his contingency plans.

As the smoke cleared and his hearing returned, the captain saw chaos. His ship was heavily damaged, the airlocks no longer functioned, and the corpses of his ex-employer-turned-attempted-murderer's goons were at his feet. Dangrum, the taller-than-average Drall he'd spicked up, was standing behind the boss with a weapon drawn, and a big red button in his off hand.

Days later, the pirate was offloaded and a bounty given to Dangrum, who in turn paid for repairs and service. This didn't leave Dangrum with much, not even enough to buy a new set of tools.

After settling in to the city and getting some jobs lined up, Dangrum got an email from an anonymous source. It was footage of him making explosives and planting them in the ship, followed by walking video of dead bodies. Should this leak out, his capabilities and illegal actions would become public knowledge. He'd be out of the underworld for being too high profile, and would have to stay away from the law. He can't let that happen.
