Background
How did you discover your force sensitivity?
One orbital planetoid rotation, along the volcanic island reefs of Sembla, Navi was collecting rare nutrient-rich crustaceans for his village when he suddenly foresaw a flash of underwater tectonic activity for a nearby lagoon. In his vision, the Vurk saw a aquatic barrier reef's continental bedrock quake unstably as high volcanic pressurized gases arise past the mantle. The instant these pressurized gases reached the lagoon's surface water, tidal waves could be seen surging towards all the island shorelines. Shocked by the vision, Navi rushed out of the water to inform his village what he had just witnessed. Luckily, belonging to a sophisticatedly open community, the elders listen to the young boy and investigated the described lagoon with geoscanners. Picking up an increase of seismic activity in the region, all the nearby coastal villages were able to prepare in time for the event to play-out. Afterwards, Navi was dubbed an unofficial prophet of his village, and soon experienced the revelation of other latent force abilities.
Describe a moment where you fell prey to your moral weakness or experienced a tragedy/horror that still haunts you.
When visiting a newly reconstructed ex-imperial mining facility used as a spaceport trading-hub for offworlders, which the Vurk overthrew post 2nd Death Star, Navi surprisingly witnessed a raid of pirates. Previous to this event, his parents seized a partnership with one of the local boutiques and unfortunately became spectators to the tail end of an offworlder assail on the facility's mineral deposit vault. The community, being unequipped for the situation because of the Stricture of Violence, fell victim to numerous causalities when defending their resources against pirates. Standing in the market next to the spaceport, mournfully, Navi witnessed the use of brute force on innocent bystanders. As the pirate raiders escaped, all the child could fathom was a sense of despair for his people. How could the upcoming prophet of his village not of seen this event? Had he lost his connection to the Force? How could these sentients act so merciless?
Name one NPC your character has a strong connection with. This could be a family member, a friend, a work contact, or a bitter rival.
As a child, frequently visiting his parent's boutique by the starport, Navi encountered an enthralling offworld Elomin by the name Plexi Tharsein. Customarily introducing new philosophy, logic and puzzle to the young Vurk's mind, Plexi was Navi's primary source for understanding galactic affairs beyond Sembla. The Elomin was a ex-miner who started her own galactic commerce business. Thus, She would frequently pit-stop between Sembla and Stenos' nongovernmental starports to avoid dispute on how she should traffic merchandise. For Navi, his friend was centric to the external views of the Force, providing numerous tales, and accidentally imparting the rumor of the New Jedi Order rising.
How did you come to join the NJO?
The seed of this adventure began from a symbolic vision Navi received, entailing the crest of the New Jedi Order glowing amidst the center of Gordian Reach. Within this divination, the glowing crest's light began to shine upon all the nearby sectors in close proximity, and expanse beyond the holomap's image. Next, the young prophet foresaw silhouettes of Jedi spreading galactic hope and opportunity to learn about the Force. As the image reached its climax, Navi saw himself spreading this message with the crest upon his own wardrobe. It was at this moment Navi knew he had to seek out the New Jedi Order and without thought, 'rashly', shared this vision with the village. The village, unreceptive to the rigidness of the old Jedi, initiated Navi to secretly decide to patiently await for his friend Plexi to arrive on Sembla. Saving up all the credits he could muster, Navi bribed the Elomin to take him to Gordian Reach, and search for the Jedi. Picking up a lead on Arda, the duo received word to visit Yavin for a Praxeum on its fourth moon. As the visitation was welcomed, Navi graciously shared his vision and abilities with the Council. Receiving the great honor of acceptance, Navi was able to respectfully undertake the Jedi path as a student and begin his training.
Describe a pivotal moment in your life where you demonstrated your moral strength despite adversity.
The first pivotal moment Navi demonstrated a strong sense of independence was his decision to explore & seek out the Jedi path. Upon sharing the desire to connect with the New Jedi Order, his village heartily discouraged such actions. The discouragement was under the grounds that the Jedi of the past were highly rigid compared to Vurk culture. However, trusting the Force, Navi knew his own mind, and remembered the vision which depicted him spreading hope throughout the galaxy. Coming from a complex system of self-governance, he understood the concerns towards an inflexible philosophy or code. Where the young force-sensitive differed in opinion was the perception that all the existing Jedi were developing an philosophically immutable order. How could the Jedi support a Republic and at the same time shun open-mindedness, progression, or trial-and-error? In his eyes, the New Jedi Order was the path to explore the depths of the Force. Thus, leaving his village under the pretense to diversify his galactic knowledge and strengthen his connection with the Force.
Motivation
Community: As a Prophet of the New Jedi Order, Navi frequently addresses the community as a whole when offering insight and counsel. Regularly sharing wisdom, prophesy, and guidance through the Cosmic Force, he seeks to provide all initiates of the Order, hope.
Morality
Independence: With trust in the Force comes an independence and a lack of reliance on other people, This isn't a bad trait; these Mystics may still enjoy the
company of others, but their happiness doesn't require others to act or think in a certain way. This allows Mystics to appreciate a person for who they are.
Obstinance: Trust in the Force sometimes turns dark and becomes a denial that other people, especially those who aren't experienced in the ways of the Force, can ever have knowledge or feelings more relevant, more important, or better-suited to a situation than the Mystic's.
