Background

Brike Breviin was born into the ranks of the Mandalorians, unlike the countless orphans taken in as foundlings, but that didn't matter, all Mandalorian children were treated the same no matter what their heritage. Briike grew up with a father who was constantly absent and a mother who's only focus was to bring honor to the Children of Mandalore; because of this most of what he learned as a child came from his friends, as they played and dreamed of when they would fight for the name of their people. One of his closest friends was an olderboy named Jargyn, who treated Briike as a side-kick. The two of them stuck together as they grew into adolescence and then adulthood, becoming almost inseparable. Both were enraged as the Empire gradually took control of Mandalore and it's population. Because of this, they joined a group of Mandalorians fighting the oppression of the Empire, intent to win back their home-world.

Briike was 20 years of age when he, Jargyn and a number of other Mandalorians were sent out with a group of Protectors to fend off an Imperial intrusion. The battle was a disaster. After hours of fighting, and losing, Briike found himself kneeling in the protection of a small bunker, leaning over Jargyn's dead body. The Imperials were advancing, the ground shaking as walkers approached. The surviving Mandalorians retreated and Briike was forced to leave Jargyn's body. As he ran from the battlefield he vowed that he would never stop fighting the Imperials.

In the next few years the Mandalorian guerrilla force fighting against the Empire slowly shrunk, and eventually the few remaining leaders started trying to negotiate for surrender. Briike, furious that they would even think of surrender, took off his helmet and threw it at their feet in a show of resignation, leaving to flee Mandalore. Two weeks later he smuggled himself off in a small shuttle, posing as an Imperial inspector, using his skills of deception and espionage he had learned during his time as a guerrilla fighter. After escaping the Empire's clutches he made his way to a small world in the Outer Rim and started thinking of what to do next. After days of indecision Briike finally decided to seek out the Rebel Alliance, convinced that the best way to fight the oppression of the Empire was to join their ranks. And so, a year later, Briike Beviin joined the Rebel Alliance, resuming his fight against the Empire.

Motivation

Freedom:
Whether his people are enslaved or he merely sees all Imperial rule as a form of slavery over the entire galaxy, this Player Character is driven to bring freedom to all. He serves in the Alliance for the sake of liberty, which means he will be watching carefully for any signs that the Rebellion might replace one form of tyranny with another.

Falsification:
A secret is valuable only so long as people believe it to be true. As such, these Spies enjoy twisting facts and adding fictitious details, making it a better story but also one that enemy agents can easily (but erroneously) disprove.

Duties

Intelligance:
The PC knows that every victory hinges on knowing as much about the Empire's military might and other assets as possible. He is driven to gather any and all potentially useful data, wishing to locate vital and vulnerable targets for Rebellion forces to strike at. He not only wants to know what the Imperial military factions are up to. but also the state of technological research, economic policies, and other aspects of Imperial strength.

Anti-ISB:
The Empire has a vast information network headed by the Imperial Security Bureau, or ISB. Characters with this Duty focus their efforts on undermining this network with actions that specifically target the ISB, such as feeding false information to its known moles, recovering captured prisoners from ISB detention cells, developing profiles of ISB agents, and ensuring that the hated agency spends its resources chasing dead-end leads.

Description

26 years of age, 6 feet tall, Stocky build, Black hair, Brown eyes.

Other Notes

During his fight against the Empire Briike lost his right arm, replacing it with a prosthetic.
