Background
"Surge" is a Dug who grew up in the slums of Coruscant and dreamt of a better life, unaware of his connection to The Force.
As a child, "Surge" heard, or perhaps made up, stories of a legendary slicer, and the progenitor of the original droid programming named Roger Roger.
"Surge" believes that long ago, Roger Roger was able to, using the force, upload his consciousness into an exceptionally powerful computer. Following that upload, Roger Roger's mind, became the code that all droid programming is now based on. "Surge" believes that this original code still exists deep within the programming of every droid, as evidenced by the vocal affirmation of orders used by Separatist Droids--"roger, roger".
With his quick reflexes and keen mind, "Surge" quickly developed a reputation as a fearless pilot and exceptional mechanic. With more experience and exposure he also developed a knack for slicing and repairing all manner of computers and machines.
Eventually "Surge" escaped off Coruscant with a band of smugglers and now explores the galaxy looking to help those oppressed by tyranny and help free those in need of emancipation.
