Background
Konstantin was born Wes Koth on Iridonia, the youngest of his 7 siblings, and the only one to survive when the empire attacked his village at the beginning of the rise of the galactic empire. In the aftermath of the slaughter, roving warlords swept the countryside looking to scavenge the waste for resources, organic and otherwise...this is how Wes was "adopted" into the Andrejovic crime family.
Wes was then raised by his new adoptive family, under the protection of Toly Andrejovic, a human crime boss who ran an underworld mercenary service. Wes was renamed Konstantin, and was raised under his adoptive father's militaristic training regimen, a regimen he flourished under due to his already harsh traditional Zabrak upbringing. Konstantin spent the next decade integrating into his new identity, and embraced his new purpose, enforcing his father's will. Despite the brutal world of violence he lived in however, Konstantin found himself struggling to cope with the anger that his violence seemed to feed on, and began to believe that the only way he could compose himself - and cultivate a real identity - would be finding a way to feel something besides rage... However, the expansion of the Andrejovic crime family had finally brought them under the attention of the Dormum Korr, who could no longer allow so many resources to be commanded by such a brutally violent warlord...
In the battle with the DK, Toly attempted to escape under cover of darkness, leaving Konstantin as the apparent leader of the Andrejovic family, and with the burden of going down with the ship. Fortunately, the DK was able to ascertain the true villain, and instead captured Konstantin and attempted to negotiate his service for themselves.
Konstantin was promised safety from the persecution he would face under the empire or the rebellion laws, and an opportunity for him to try to shed his cycle of violence, to grow as a person and to find out who he really is. He is taking it.
Motivation
Konstantin is a disciplined pragmatist, conditioned by years of brutal violence, and cold betrayal. There has been no moment in his life where he hasn't had to fight for survival, but this constant cycle of violence has caused him to lose his identity to being anything more then a menacing weapon waved in someone's face. Now, finally granted a reprieve from a life where violence was the only winner, Konstantin is struggling to reclaim his identity beyond his ability to survive, and find out if he has the strength to grow.
Konstantin is hot-tempered, confident, and blunt. He understands how to get what he wants through intimidation, but is trying to walk the line between mindless weapon, and someone who uses fear as a calculated tool.
Obligations
Konstantin's Obligation is his short temper. When he does lose control, he will stop listening to comrades; he loses his rationale, and attempts to make any dangerous opponents he faces succumb to their fear, or be punished for standing up to him. Fear is always his weapon, but when he loses control, he can become reckless and adversarial, making him a troublesome ally in many situations.
Description
Like most male Zabrak, Konstantin bears a crown of horns across an otherwise bald head, with 6 horns rising in particular prominence (imagine 2 cresting hills, with shorter horns on either side composing the hills ridges). He bears scars across his face and body, which he wears with pride, and he always wears sleeveless shirts (or cuts off the sleeves of new clothing) in order to reveal his athletic strong arms. One particularly large and prominent scar traces from the bottom of his left orbital to his crown of horns, leaving one peak cracked.
Konstantin is also short compared to other Zabrak, yet another trait that brings his temper to bear, when mocked (or even brought up if he is in a bad enough mood).
His history has left him quite incapable of showing any weakness, but despite his best efforts, those with enough experience and insight may be able to eventually discern the deep sorrow behind his steely eyes. Just don't ask him to admit it!
