Background
Borscht grew up a poor kid on a poor backwater section of Bothawui, a planet that was dangerous under the best of conditions. He never knew his parents and was instead raised in an orphanage, though he spent as many nights outside those walls as within them. He always seemed to be able to talk himself out of trouble with the caretakers, just when things seemed to be getting hairy.
As a teenager, he escaped the orphanage by stowing away on the ship of a Corellian diplomat. Promptly discovered, the delegation was nonetheless impressed by his gift of gab and they allowed him to stay on board and work as a part of the ship's crew under the quartermaster. As years went on, he took on more procurement and negotiating responsibility on the ship, and he spent his years soaring from planet to planet.
However, as the Empire tightened its grip, the diplomatic corps of Corellia was dramatically stripped down and the vessel he served on quickly turned to that other Corellian past time: smuggling. While they were able to make ends meet on runs of foodstuffs and supplies for some time, they eventually needed to turn to more lucrative opportunities to keep flying, including running weapons, spice, and stolen goods.
While not pleased with this turn, Borscht only snapped when human smuggling became a part of their repertoire. He commandeered the ship, set the captives free on the closest civilized planet he could find and gave them much of his remaining coin. All he had left was enough to buy a one-way ticket to the ass-end of the galaxy.....

Description
Borscht is a slim Bothan with light and wavy brown hair that he keeps slicked back away from his face. He walks with a casual ease that most observers would find annoying at best. However, his winning personality tends to convince them of his good intentions.
When not wearing his armor, he wears a loose fitting shirt under a snug brown vest that has seen better days, and a pair of black trousers and boots.
