Ezekiel Graham was born in the Appalachian region of Kentucky, in a town of only a few thousand. From a young age, he was fascinated by technology and engineering. While most boys his age preferred to ride their bikes, Zeke often passed the time by disassembling and reassembling his. Finding he had little in common with children his age, he had few friends. Bullying was frequent as he grew up; especially once his preference for intellectual pursuits became known.

His father, Jedediah, and his mother, Mary were always supportive of his interests. In particular, his father taught him how to fight in order to defend himself. Once it became clear that he would not be an easy target, the bullying stopped.

Making it his mission in life to get out of his hometown, Ezekiel studied hard; and was eventually admitted to the University of Kentucky on a scholarship. He would go on to graduate with a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering, and a minor in Computer Science. Straight out of college he was offered a job on a space station. He immediately accepted.

Zeke's current goal is to convince his parents to move to a colony close to the station. As much as he loves them, he hates going back to his hometown.
