Background
Sabrine was Born on Balosar on Selona 7th, [25bby]. Her and her extended family of 9 lived in a small, cramped apartment on the 68th floor of one of the many apartment buildings near the 5th largest Death Stick Production Plant on the planet. Sabrine’s family either worked tirelessly to support the others or spent their days wasting away on whatever drugs they could manage to scrounge up. When she was born, Sabrine was found to have an above average midichlorian count and her family was told the jedi would be in contact with them when the time was right for her to begin training. Her aunt and uncle quickly began planning to get Sabrine into the hands of the jedi, hoping for a better life for her as most caring parents would. Her biological parents couldn’t care less, often asking if the jedi would pay to take her or were just happy there was one less mouth to feed. Sabrine’s upbringing was dull and boring with no real substance. She was often ignored.
When she was 2, her apartment building collapsed due to illegal mining of Balo Mushrooms underneath the structure. After finding Sabrine in the rubble she was rushed to a nearby hospital. She was one of the only children to survive. She suffered several broken bones and snapped antenappalps, along with bruises and minor cuts all over her body. The doctors were able to fix most of the damage but the surgeries left her with a crippled right leg. They also tried to fix her antenappalps but ultimately made it so she was unable to retract them, damaging the muscles to do so. Luckily, they were still functional. The left one is bent to the left and the right one too far forward. She often had nightmares in the hospital, not knowing how to handle all the emotions she now couldn’t shield herself from.
The morning she was picked up by the Jedi, she found a concealing robe with 250 credits in the pocket and a note from her aunt wishing her luck on her bed. Her uncle paid for her stay and surgeries as far as she’s aware. Other than those two, she never received word of if the rest of her family was okay. She was picked up by a Jedi accompanied by a devronian healer, Tura Gvact. Tura looked over Sabrine on the flight back, healing whatever minor wounds were left and being overall caring towards Sabrine. Sabrine was fascinated with what she was doing, jump starting her interest in becoming a healer herself. The two bonded during the trip and Sabrine often visits Tura in the Hall Of Healing.

Other Notes
1. What are your character's core moral beliefs?
Sabrine believes everyone is deserving of love and care, no matter who they are. She values life very highly and hopes to be able to help minimize suffering throughout her life. She values meditation and spending time on her own or with friends quietly.
2. What relationship does your character have with their non-Jedi family? Who else do they consider family in the order? (Ask me if you have questions about who they'd know closely)
Within the order, Sabrine is friends with Jocasta Nu, Chief Librarian of the Jedi Archives. Sabrine spends a lot of time in the archives and is always eager to learn new things. Through Jocasta, Sabrine is friends with Jin-Lo Rayce (Jocasta’s padawan) and Sha Koon who she’s spent many late nights studying with. Sabrine is close with her teacher Quorthugg and the Devaronian healer Tura G'vact. Sabrine often goes to Tura to learn more about medicine and healing. She’s friends with her clan members overall but enjoys the quiet ones more than the loud abrasive ones.
3. What is your character's opinion on the Republic, the CIS, the Jedi Council, the War, and the Jedi's involvement in the war?
Sabrine is fond of the republic, she believes they are on the right side of the war and views the separatists as misguided. She overall hates war but knows that it can’t be avoided as much as she wants to and hopes it ends soon. She is a little intimidated by the council, as they hold a lot of power, but she aspires to be that skilled one day. She respects them greatly. She wishes the Jedi didn't have to be involved in the war but knows that their goal is to ultimately bring peace and helping in the efforts can do so.
4. Describe your character's typical appearance? Youngling Robes are standard, but you'd likely be able to wear other things outside of classes, and also customize your robes a bit if you wanted.
Sabrine typically opts to wear an extra robe on top of her standard ones as well as a backpack full of books she’s collected and 2 datapads. She spends a bit of time every morning braiding her hair out of her face, typically into french braids around her antenappalps and down her back though it depends on her mood and how much time she has. She also adds charms or clips on occasion that she got from some of the other girls in the temple. She’s short with pale skin. She appears somewhat sick all the time, as if she’s just getting over a cold, a bit green. She’s on the thinner side as well.
5. What is your character's hopes for their future in the Jedi Order? Would they be satisfied being relegated to the Jedi Service Corps?
Sabrine hopes to become a healer in the temple and be able to go out helping people across the galaxy. That can happen whether she becomes a padawan or not. She’s friends with people in both and she’d happily work by their sides. She would feel somewhat disappointed if she was put in the Service Corps but other than that, she feels the force will take her where she needs to be to help, it hasn’t failed her yet.
6. What is the character's biggest mistake they have made? Since you're young, another option would be their greatest regret or some dissatisfaction with their life.
Sabrine doesn’t have a biggest regret but she’s sad about the lack of movement in her right leg and her antenappalps. She believes the force willed her injuries to happen, but that doesn’t erase the little bit of sadness that comes with them. She wishes she had more movement so she’d be better with a lightsaber and wishes she could pull her antenappalps down and avoid having to constantly cope with others emotions. She tries her best to find the bright side to these things, and works every day to work with her body instead of trying to control it.
7. What is your character's greatest fear? Do they have multiple major fears? Are they totally aware they have these fears? Can be as reasonable or irrational as you wish.
Ranked from smallest to largest
Coruscanti Ogres - she read about them in the archives and is terrified to go that deep into Coruscant because of them
Getting in trouble with her teachers - she’s a goodie two shoes
Someone dying because she couldn’t save them - though this has never happened she’s had nightmares about it and deep down truly fears she wont know what to do when the time to help people comes or that she’ll be entirely powerless to do anything.
Sabrine is aware of all of those fears
8. How committed is your character to the beliefs and values of the Jedi Order?
She is very committed. It’s all she’s ever known and all she can see her future being. She’ll be happy so long as she can be a part of it. She truly believes the force willed her to be part of the Order, she knows she could have died when her building collapsed but the force kept her safe. She trusts it, and the path it takes her on, fully.
9. Does your character care about how they're seen by others? How do they change themselves to fit in with other people?
She gets a little self conscious when her injuries get in the way of her actively participating in things but doesn’t usually feel the need to change herself to fit in better. She knows her friends are kind and will be patient with her. She hasn’t left the temple much or had to deal with many outside forces so this is subject to change.
10. If your character could make any wish, what would they wish for?
She would wish for peace. She isn't sure what to expect from “peace” but it’s what she would say. It could mean the end of war and suffering across the galaxy, freedom from her own limitations, the ability to truly help people and bring around peace, etc.
