Background
Ben'Hakkar was found by the Jedi Order 5 years before the start of the Clone Wars. As a youngling, Ben'Hakkar wasn't especially talented nor witted, he often relied on his physical strength, rather than the Force. Many times he faced the risk of kicked out the order, but his teachers saw great bravery and compassion in the young dowutin. When the Clone Wars begun, master Tal Dok, a kel dor Jedi Guardian was assigned to teach out Ben'Hakkar. He was fifteen during his first field mission on Ryloth. Excited and nervous, padawan Ben'Hakkar held a strong grip on his newly crafted lightsaber. Their task was to enter the hutt Lady Bardooga's residence and negotiate or force her to soften his slimy grip on the twi'lek villages nearby. But shortly after they arrived the planet, terrible events unfolded.
Their own clone quadron ambushed them during the night. Luckily, Ben woke from a nightmare just before the ambush, and woke up his master as well. They held off the troopers, but were forced to retreat. Roughly a day later, master Tal Dok received master Kenobi's warning of Order 66.
'You be safe' - he told his padawan. - 'But my journey leads me back to Coruscant.' That was the only thing he told Ben, before he knocked out his padawan. When the dowutin woke up, he found himself in one of Lady Barooga's cells. Tal Dok sold Ben'Hakkar to the hutt as a slave, and Bardooga was more than happy with the deal for she saw great potential in him as a gladiator.
"Dowutins grow as time goes by. If you want to make your dowutin stronger, make no more than wait." And that's what Bardooga did. Unaware that her new recruit was a former jedi, the Great Lady was impressed with his athletic and fighting skills. Soon Ben'Hakkar became a sort of a celebrity in the Hutt Space. He tried his best to remain connected to the Force, and strengthen the only ability he learnt from his padawan days, enhancing his body. Covered with scars, the Rock amongst the gladiators craved for one thing only: freedom. Not only for himself, but for the whole Galaxy.
Motivation
Freedom fighter: Ben'Hakkar respects freedom, and he is dedicated to secure other creatures' chance to be free. Any time there's a chance to liberate slaves, he does not hesitate to do so.
Obligations
Bounty (5): (Bardooga's Hunters) Not long after the battle of Yavin the Empire started an all out hunt for all the rebel cells scattered in the Galaxy. When Bardooga found out this information, she captured a small but important rebel cell on the planet Ryloth, consisting a few twi'lek freedom fighters. But shortly before the ISB arrived for trading the bounty, a rebel strikeforce led by the hero Hera Syndulla launched a precise assault on Bardooga's Freighter and freed the captives. Among the ship crew they discovered Ben in chains. The original plan was not to intervene in hutt business and focus on the rebel captives only, but Hera had a strong empathy for slaves and insisted on freeing Ben among a few other of Bardooga's court. It wasn't long before Bardooga placed a bounty on regaining her precious winning streak warrior. Luckily for The Rock, Bardooga kept the bounty confidential, for she did not want to be ashamed in front of the other great hutt clans.
Enlisted in the Rebellion, Ben found himself once again in the amidst the war, a feeling he thought he lost forever.
Description
Ben (or as most creatures call him, T-R) is a robust, beast-like dowutin, with a constant growl and suspicion in his eyes. He always carries his signature weapon, a robust vibro-ax, which he twirls a few times handling it with only one hand, just to grab it with both two before starting an attack. He is celebrated amongst the gladiators of the hutt space for his endurance and will to fight and live.
He opens hardly, and deep (deep-deep) down he's more of a gentle giant than a fearsome warrior. He feels compassion and care towards the weak and the oppressed. He tries to live his life as of the Jedi Code which he hardly remembers, and never speaks of with anyone else.
