Background
Cani's parents were both in the Imperial Navy. Her mother was a petty bridge officer. Her father a walker pilot. He was killed during a conflict where his walker was unable to repel an enemy attack on the base he was stationed at. This caused her mother to resign from the Navy. Cani's enrolment into the Navy caused a rift between her and her mother and they have not spoken in years.

Pursuit of efficiency.
