Backstory:
Long before the rise of the Republic, an enigmatic alien species—name lost to time—flourished on a remote planet known only in ancient hyperspace drift logs as Kharis Prime. Exceptionally advanced in biomechanics and neuro-synthetic technology, they created what scholars today refer to only as the "Nameless Project." The core of this experiment was a single construct:
Codename- “Whisper”
The purpose of Whisper remains unknown. Its design language is unreadable. The species' records are in a form of communication no protocol droid or translation matrix has ever been able to decode—not even the Jedi Archives or Sith holocrons contain reference points.
Whisper was a sentient machine made of living alloy, capable of shifting its form and mass with unnatural fluidity. It did not speak. It emitted patterns, pulses, and ambient dissonance that caused hallucinations, blackouts, or brain death in nearby organics. Its core was something far worse than mechanical: an anomaly, possibly a Dark Side echo, or something older than the Force itself—a fragment of will from before the known galaxy had form.
One cycle, Whisper activated itself. Kharis Prime went silent. Within a single rotation, all sentient life on the planet was gone. Their cities remained intact, but every living thing was dismembered, dissected, or missing entirely. The architecture began to decay—as though time itself had accelerated—until only dust remained.
Millennia later, scavengers from the Unknown Regions stumbled upon Kharis Prime. The planet was declared a "ghost world." The salvage teams that landed found what remained of the Nameless Project’s facility. They also found Whisper, still intact, still moving.
They did not return.
Since then, unexplained signals—non-repeating, structureless, and deeply disturbing to hear—have been picked up from deep space near Kharis Prime. The signals seem to cause unease, madness, and even violent suicides in those exposed for too long. They can’t be decrypted. They don’t follow any logic.
The last Jedi who investigated reportedly said:
"It speaks without words. It tells you things you were never meant to know. It doesn't kill. It empties you... until you can't remember if you were ever alive at all."
Whisper is still out there. Watching. Listening. Becoming.
And now, new rumors claim entire Outer Rim colonies are going dark—without any sign of struggle.
