Background

Ziknabb Jozkillian was a successful technician who owned his own business on a backwater world. He could fix any computer and protect any device from cyberattacks. He had a husband and three children. One could say his life was pretty good. That was, until the Mandalorians came along and ravaged his town. His shop, his house - his family - were all destroyed in the carnage. Zik was in his shop when a basalisk war machine crashed through the roof, sending debris flying in every direction. One chunk of plasteel clipped Zik's left eyestalk, tearing it to shreds. When all was over, Zik had nothing but his tools and a bandage where his eye used to be. His husband. His children. All gone. So he queued in line with the rest of the displaced for the next refugee ship to take him away.

That ship happened to be the Promise of Tomorrow.
