Description
The Force was clearly not with Kaarl when he was brought into the world: Born to a family of isolated farmers on the already backwater planet of Dantooine, his parents attempted, and failed, to bring him up with a strong religious background and work ethic. When he became an adult the first thing he did was enlist in the Imperial Army in the hopes of seeing the galaxy... However, in a cruel twist of fate Kaarl was stationed on Dantooine because "It looked good in the holos" or so his superiors kept insisting, and was eventually put into the Scout Trooper Corps because while he generally was a poor listener and insubordinate he was simply too good at his job to scrub out entirely.
During his time in the army Kaarl became a high-functioning alcoholic and womanizer due to the perceived boredom of his post. Such antics didn't endear him to his superiors, but he made a few close friends during his time in the army. Gary, a Corporal back then, was another rifleman just like Kaarl. The two quickly became as thick as thieves, and if something silly happened on duty they were probably responsible. And Alison "Tex", she rarely let people call her by her real name. She had a chip on her shoulder, always ambitious and trying to prove herself. She was a Sergeant last time Kaarl saw her, they were lovers at one point but then an injury pulled her out of the field. However from there she vanished, the last time they spoke she mentioned some kind of experimental program for disabled vets, very classified by the sounds of it.
Now years later, Kaarl has left the army, and now has dived headfirst into the underworld of Smuggling. So far the lifestyle suits him: Hours are flexible, independence, good money, and lots of ladies love the dashing rouge type. Off the clock Kaarl can usually be found in one of the Galaxy's many many Cantinas, bars, clubs, and such.
