Droid Species Abilities core Droids do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe, and are unaffected by toxins or poisons. Droids have a cybernetic implant cap of 6 instead of their Brawn rating. In addition, after selecting their career, a Droid Player Character may train one rank in six of the eight career skills (instead of the usual four). After selecting their first specialization, a Droid Player Character may train one rank in three of the four specialization skills (instead of the usual two).
Inorganic: Since droids are inorganic, they do not gain the benefits of recovering with a bacta tank, stimpack, or Medicine skill checks. Droids do recover naturally by resting, as their systems attempt self-repairs. Otherwise, droids need to be tended to with a Mechanics check, using the same difficulties and results of Medicine checks for organic beings. Emergency repair patches can be used to repair damage just like stimpacks are used on organic beings. See page 220 for more on droid repairs and healing. Due to their resilient metallic construction, droids start the game with one rank in the Enduring talent. Mechanical Being: Droids cannot become Force sensitive, nor acquire a Force Rating by any means. Droids cannot use Force powers, and also cannot be affected by mind-altering Force powers.

Background

Created in the research wing of the Republic Military, he has been a working prototype and pet-project of a group of engineering nerds. Officially off the books for the first 5 years, but about 3 years ago their supervisor (a core member of the team making him) got approval to make him an official project. However it wasn’t until the clone wars began that he progressed more rapidly with adequate resources. He is designed to be a dual purpose, battlefield ready medic and engineer.

Since then he has been put through successful battle testing simulations, and has now progressed to live-battle situations.



Generally a low-talker, he uses his hardened com link to communicate most of the time. Since he started as a pet project he has escaped the typical memory wipe protocols and has shown some signs of personality development. He has also started keeping portions of his memory in self-created off-line memory storage. He is nearly always active, either in repairing and modding weapons, and even just general field maintenance.

Motivation

Primary Motivation: Follow the wishes and commands of the Republic Army, as best he is able, in the capacity he was designed..
Secondary goals are:
The creation/repair and modification of tools, droids and equipment for achieving his primary goals.
A clean and orderly environment, one that is efficient for achieving the above goals.

Description

Fully aware of the concern of adding a droid to a team clones whose primary purpose is to kill droids, the team decided to take his skeletal droid form and attach ARC Trooper armor to blend him in to the troops. He has been designed to be standard clone trooper height, with only a dark red +Plus on his back to designate him as a medic.
