Background
Zip grew up on Tatooine like most other Jawas. Unlike most Jawas, however, he hated scavenging. Finding it more boring than anything in the world, Zip went off on his own to forge his own path. After making a bit of credits off of fixing podracing, he decided that that wasn't quite it for him.
Luckily enough for him, one Podracer named Dingo Bongo found out that the races were being fixed and took out a bounty on Zip. After narrowly dodging blaster fire, Zip felt the rush he had been looking for. Thinking quickly, he slipped away from the bounty hunter and made his escape. Off in the distance he spotted what he assumed was the bounty hunter's ship. He skullduggeried his way onto the ship and took off!
Unfortunately, he's not the most skilled pilot and quickly crash landed. The ship blew up, but Zip finally found his calling: get in trouble and see if he can get away with it. This launched his career as a smuggler, the little scoundrel!
He's done a good job and already has 5 bounties on his head at the moment, he's aiming to get a 6th in no time.
