Background
BD-I3 was the property of a rebel agent, however over time he has developed rather a sarcastic personality. His master was intending to recruit a local bounty hunter and his companions to help the rebellion, however he was severely injured in an ambush while trying to help the group. He granted BD-I3 to the rebel diplomat who had repaired the groups ship and was therefore holding ownership of it until the debt for the repairs had been paid.
Since then, BD-I3 has proven his use, not only as a ships mechanic and reasonable slicer, but also in combat, although this has lead some in the group to believe that he is actually an assassin droid . . .

Description
As per the included image, though his body is dark grey with orange trim (similar style to an R2 series astromech). Rather than one panel in the chest, there are many smaller panels with tools inside, as well as some tools on the left arm for basic repairs and computer access.
His eyes appear glassy, with no light behind them.
