Droid Droids do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe, and are unaffected by toxins or poisons. Droids have a cybernetic implant cap of 6 instead of their Brawn rating. In addition, after selecting their career, a Droid Player Character may train one rank in six of the eight career skills (instead of the usual four). After selecting their first specialization, a Droid Player Character may train one rank in three of the four specialization skills (instead of the usual two).
Enduring 2 +1 soak value per rank of Enduring.
Full Throttle The character may push a starship or vehicle past its limits of speed. He may perform the Full Throttle action, attempting a Hard Piloting check. With success, the ship’s top speed increases by one for a number of rounds equal to Cunning. The ship still cannot perform actions or maneuvers it could not perform normally (i.e. actions that have a minimum speed requirements)
Skilled Jockey 1 -1⬛ per rank of Skilled Jockey from his Piloting (Planetary) and Piloting (Space) checks.
Improved Full Throttle The character may voluntarily suffer one strain to attempt Full Throttle as a maneuver. In addition, the difficulty of Full Throttle is reduce to Average Difficulty.
Grit 1 +1 strain threshold per rank of Grit.
Master Pilot Once per round when piloting a starship (a ship piloted using the Piloting (Space) skill), the character may voluntarily suffer two strain to perform any action as a maneuver instead.
Dedication 1 +1 to a characteristic (Intellect)
Let's Ride Once per round on the character’s turn, the character may mount or dismount from a vehicle or beast, or slide into the cockpit or weapon station aboard a starship, as an incidental instead of a maneuver.
Gearhead 1 -1⬛ per rank of Gearhead from all Mechanics checks. In addition, the credit cost to add mods to attachments decreases by 50%. This does not increase with multiple ranks of Gearhead.
Toughened 1 +2 wound threshold
Fine Tuning 1 Whenever a character reduces the amount of strain a starship or vehicle suffers, he reduces one additional strain per rank of Fine Tuning.
Solid Repairs 2 Whenever the character repairs hull trauma on a starship or vehicle, he repairs one additional hull trauma per rank of Solid Repairs.
Dead to Rights Spend 1 Destiny Point to add additional damage equal to half Agility (round up) to one hit of a successful attack made with ship- or vehicle-mounted weaponry.
Improved Dead to Rights Spend 1 Destiny Point to add addtional damage equal to Agility to one hit of a successful attack made with ship- or vehicle-mounted weaponry.
Rapid Recovery 1 When recovering strain after an encounter, recover 1 additional strain per rank of Rapid Recovery.
Bad Motivator Once per game session, the character may take a Bad Motivator action to make a 3 difficulty Mechanics check. If successful, one device (subject to the GM's approval) spontaneously fails due to the character's involvement, or because it was about to fail anyway and the character noticed it (this is the character's decision).

Background

TU-2 was commissioned as an automated pilot for a freighter to run a circuitous trade route between Felucia and Tanaab, transporting the medicine nysillin from Felucia in exchange for miscellaneous farming machinery and tools. The trade agreement between the two planets has been so long-standing and smooth that TU-2 has operated basically without outside contact for close to a century-- including the lack of a memory wipe as a part of droid maintenance.

When the freighter and its pilot was made known to the Republic, it was seized for the war effort surrounding Felucia and drafted into the ranks. TU-2's intimate experience and familiarity with astrogation in the Felucia System was deemed too valuable to erase, and so TU-2 has been allowed to continue operation despite its aging memory banks and quirks.

Motivation

TU-2 has only ever had the company of its DUM droids. Now conscripted into a war and surrounded by so many new lifeforms, it seeks to make connections with others to make sense of its surroundings.

Description

A rather bare-bones droid-- definitely no frills, just economical and practical, showing heavy signs of having been manufactured a very long time ago instead of anytime recently. TU-2 has the standard jerky movement of a droid.

It often wears its mechanic's coveralls and backpack to maximize its storage capacity, filling any spare pocket or space with various tools, nuts, bolts, screws, washers, wires, batteries, and assorted junk. As a result, TU-2 can be cacophonous whenever it moves.
