Virion doesn't remember his birthplace, Chandrila, well. He became a member of the Jedi Order early in his life, as were many other Force sensitive people. Taught by many tutors in various disciplines along with other younglings, he did not develop as well as many other students did.

He was eventually assigned to be a Padawan of a Jedi Knight by the name Keryss Mor. His master felt that while strong in the Force, Virion lacked the skill to wield it and had much to learn yet. Drilled with the thought, he grew frustrated with his failures as a Jedi, culminating in his inability to save his last tutor during the execution of Order 66.

While the pair managed to defeat the teams of clones assigned to them, the Knight had been stabbed with a trooper's vibroknife. The blood loss and trauma meant that they were not going to evade the reinforcements that would surely follow. Virion had to go alone.

Years afterwards, Virion Tormal is a gun for hire, offering his skills as a pilot, guard, bounty hunter and some more things. At least there is hope that he won't fail at that.
