Background
Norwyn’s family was in the mid-low class tier at the time of his birth. He watched his father struggle to campaign as they climbed the social ranks and made to the top. He spent his days playing with his young cousins and friends in the streets and nearby forests seeking valued treasures to be traded at high price in effort to help his father in the campaign. Barely a day into the high ranks, Norwyn walked in on his mother and his uncle together in bed, his father lying dead in the hall. His uncle, Mito, assumed the title of the house, and both males understood each other’s power—his uncle’s to manipulate and Norwyn’s to reveal the truth. As Mito threw the same blade used to kill his father, Norwyn had froze it in midair and made his escape. He survived as a street rat in disguises with others of the lowest Umbaran rank, mourning his father. While it was often seen as an ultimate betrayal to his own people, he scavenged and sought more treasures to find enough for his own ship and passage off-planet.
Motivation
Norwyn wants to unravel the mysteries of the galaxy; to understand why and how things work in order to guide others who are struggling. He has a great respect for history, a strong urge to travel, and is quick on his feet.
