Background

Born within the bowels of Nar Shadda like most Ganks, Scorcher was destined to a hard life in the underworld. Brought up on the brutal turf wars of Hutt backed gangs gave him a strong understanding of non-conventional urban operations and combat. However, upsetting Hutts is bad for one's health, and the ones funding a group see them as pawns, not allies. Having made enemies of a few Hutts and his group collapsing due to turf wars and internal issues, Scorcher decided to cut his losses before they cut him and leave Hutt space at least till people forgot about him.

He slipped out on a smuggler's vessel working as muscle till he was spat out on an outer rim planet. Not being the most subtle of people scorcher tried to ply the skills he learned on Nar Shadda and ended up on a list for the local Imperials due to illegal Bounty Hunting and various crimes typically lumped in with such as assault and illegal detention. Following an Imperial raid on the front that supplied and managed the bounties Scorcher was on the run again and lacking a group to rely on. Unknown to Scorcher at the time the bounties he was collecting were partially put out by the rebellion to deal with dangerous criminals that hinder their operations or harmed the local populace, and was the main reason for Imperial concern.

On the run again he was able to slip into a group of civilians the rebellion was smuggling off-planet in an attempt to escape. Imperial intelligence caught onto the operation and dispatched a force to hinder or prevent it forcing Scorcher and the rebels to fight their way out. Feeling that he owed them a favor for getting him off-planet and having enjoyed to a degree working with them Scorcher began to work more and more with the rebellion. While he didn't identify with their grandiose goals and desires he grew attached to the actual people fighting with them, he saw them as his peers and people worth fighting for.

Motivation

Connections: Friends
-He sees many of the rebels he has fought with as close friends and in some cases as permanent comrades even if they aren't around. He fights for the Rebellion because of these people and comrades.
