Background
Basak remembers what he was saved from, and has seen what has happened in the Galaxy since. He has a restless quality about him, never feeling quite like he belonged anywhere he's ended up. Part of that comes from seeing the Purge as derailing what was supposed to become of his life. He is hesitant about using the Force, as he knows how dangerous it could be, and feels sometimes questions his connection to it.
The trader who rescued him from the Purge saw some of that inner turmoil under the mask. As Basak grew older and clearly wasn't meant for the trader's life the man did him one last favor. He set Basak up with a fellow captain. This new crew went from world to world among the Outer and Middle Rim planets hunting down animals; for goods, bounties, and capturing as 'exotic pets'. Basak enjoys the hunt, feeling at peace in the simple cycle of life.
