Background

Ryn Voss once ran in the shadows of the galaxy, moving cargo and making deals that often crossed the line between smuggling, theft, and outright villainy. After a series of close calls and betrayals, he chose to leave that life behind. Adopting a new identity, Ryn relocated to Jakku and became the Marshal of the small settlement of Copper Creek. Using his knowledge of criminal behavior, he enforces the law in ways the many that may be unprofessional or unorthodox.

Motivation

Ryn Voss is primarily trying to survive and stay hidden from the enemies of his past. Life on Jakku’s frontier is lonely and monotonous, and sometimes the boredom gets the better of him, tempting him to take risks or bend the rules just to feel alive. Beneath it all, he carries a strong desire to do good and make up for past mistakes, using his position as Marshal to protect the people of Copper Creek and enforce a sense of justice—even if it means improvising and bending the rules to get the job done.

Obligations

Ryn’s hidden past constantly threatens to catch up with him. Former partners, enemies, and bounty hunters could expose his true identity at any time, and the Empire itself might come knocking if they discover who he really is. This hidden life shapes every decision, forcing him to balance law, survival, and secrecy. His Obligation is a constant reminder that his past is never truly gone.

Description

Ryn Voss is a wiry Zabrak with intricate black tattoos covering his face and scalp in traditional Zabrak patterns. His horns curve sharply from his skull, giving him a naturally intimidating presence—perfect for a Marshal who bends rules to get the job done. He wears practical, dusty desert clothes suited for life on Jakku, with his Marshal badge pinned prominently to his chest. A faint scar along his jaw hints at his violent past. He moves with purposeful efficiency, always ready to act or improvise to solve problems, charm, intimidate, or mislead as necessary. Always nearby is K-ELM, his protocol droid deputy, fussing over reports and trying desperately to maintain decorum in chaotic Copper Creek.
