Background
Nara grew up in the slums of a smaller planet, making a living stealing and gambling on pazaak. She ended up making enough money to get by out of her gambling, until it was found that she was cheating in some mysterious way. This gained attention of some unsavory and powerful characters, with rumors spreading like wildfire. A jedi traveling through at the time took note of this and offered to play her in pazaak, but he didn't notice anything strange. However, after betting some credits, he noticed she used the force subtly in order to win; and offered her passage to the jedi academy, should she wish it.
