Background
How his master even found him is a mystery to Hal. That's the name he goes by now. He has no records of his clan or life in the bowels of Nar Shaddaa. The only legacy of his family being the extensive cybernetic alteration of his brain and respiratory system, a cultural practice among the Gank.
Hal had a difficult time among the other younglings. Even basic communication was a trial, as he is non-verbal. With difficulty a few output devices were tuned to his species' particular comm frequency. But even Jedi children are children. He was an outsider among them, and children can be thoughtless to outsiders. So he retreated further into himself.
Only his master could draw Hal out. She was an angel to him. A beautiful being who treated him kindly and brought him out of his cybernetic shell. She guided him through his strong connection to the flow of the Force, teaching and nurturing his gentle soul.
When the pain of her death hit him through their connection, something broke inside the young Gank. He had been abandoned again. The Force flowing through him was filtered through his anger and pain now. As often as it healed, it could hurt those around him as his pain radiated outward.
Hal is a survivor though. The pain won't stop him from living through the experience on this strange planet and coming out stronger. He's managed to steal some gear from a clone trooper, and intends to protect his fellow padawan, whether they want it or not.
