Zavias grew up on Ojom, deep in the core. Like most Besalisk, her clan operated a largely self-contained farming commune. They traded with other communes and off-worlders, but for the most part Zavias only ever interacted with the same few hundred people she'd known all her life. From a yound age she was taken with a powerful wanderlust; while she loved the Besalisk way of life, she longed to see the galaxy for at least a few years before coming home and settling down on the clan farms with a nice Besalisk girl.
This desire was dicouraged by her parents and the clan elders, but when she didn't heed their warning, they didn't try to stop her, allowing her to go with their blessing, a few traditional gestures of good luck, and a promise to stay in touch.
Zavias quickly found work an a freighter bound for the rim as a cargo hauler. While she had no particular skill for the work, she was big enough to be a decent contributor on brute force alone. Unfortunately, the job didn't last long.
The day after they touched down on literally the first world she'd ever seen besides Ojom, local politics boiled over into a rebellion that closed the port. Unable to make any money, the captain fired all of the "non-essential" personnel, leaving Zavias adrift on a new planet with no money and no contacts.
Within a few weeks, however, she had found a new place to fit in. The local farmers' long list of greviances and desire for self-rule free of the corporations that controlled the planet resonated with her idyllic experiences on the commune, and she soon enthusiastically joined them in their rebellion. This went well for a while, but it soon became clear the her cell of syndicalists were under pressure to capitulate to the off-world pirates that had co-opted the more cynical, right-wing factions of the rebellion.

Ambition - Wanderlust
She wanted to see the galaxy, and hopefully she will. Just probably not on this planet.
Relationship - Clan
Zavias is still in touch with her clan, and as demanding as they can be, she still very much loves and wants to support them. Just, from a distance.

While her clan is still on Ojom and prides themselves on their independance, they do still need offworld errands done from time to time, and since Zavias is one of the few members out and about, those mostly fall to her.
Oath - 10
Zavias joined the resistance movement, and while her splinter faction isn't exactly at the forefront of the war, she did offer her help to them, and she intends to see it through with them, at least until they can get the pirates to leave them alone.
