Background

Ivaadi was born in 26 BBY, to a relatively well-off clan. However, when she came of age under the Empire, she ran off to join the Free Ryloth movement. She served there for four years, until she was 22. During this time she learned how to fight and what she believed her passion was when she ended up under the wing of a medic in one cell. There she learned how to care for the wounded and -when the credits would allow- the fine art of replacing limbs with mechanical variants of those who lost them.

She left the movement when her clan finally learned of what she'd been doing, when a local saw her and a few noted members in a cantina and informed them -the clan being Imperial sympathizers. While they made sure the local stayed quiet, they could not accept their daughter being this way and exiled her from the clan's homeland. Seeing this as her one chance to become something more than her clan-name, she took this in stride.

Taking passage on a frigate heading to [Meetup], she moved out with her personal effects and the credits in her pockets, hoping to make something. Here she stayed until recently.

During her time at [Meetup], she met a strange alien. A Kyuzo, Za'ar. Apparently he'd been in a fight and left to die. Having a vague idea of the race's customs the pragmatic part of her figured this would be good. However, in the end as she was patching them up, she didn't quite care. Having someone big around would be nice, but she'd rather at least ensure they live. Said Kyuzo did just what the pragmatic part of her expected, viewing the situation as if she was owed a great debt, and he has served as her small workshop's bodyguard since.

Motivation

Self-Improvement
She seeks to improve herself. Either through surgical means or through simple exercise. This drives her to pursue wealth. Nowadays, in illegal means. Regardless she ensures she'll be able to TRULY improve herself soon enough.

Companionship
Ivaadi's friend in the Free Ryloth movement, Talik Nilim, is one of the few contacts she's made efforts to keep. While the woman is impulsive to a fault, she manages to heed Ivaadi's advice when she suggestions keeping an 'out' open in case the Imperials truly step up their suppression of the movement.

Obligations

10 - Obsession
After her time in the Free Ryloth movement, she ended up becoming obsessed with cybernetics and a general NEED to strip the weak flesh and become BETTER than before. No one can hurt you in a way that a bolt can. One bolt to the spine and you're down for life. With cybernetics, it's harder to cause this.

5 - Responsibility
While officially she has cut ties with the movement, Ivaadi still has a friend who she donates to on occasion, who in turn ensure that donated credits ends up in the hands of a cell that needs it.

Description

Ivaadi is a purple skinned Twi'lek with her lekku curled around her shoulders the majority of the time, decorated in thin leather strips in a pattern that looks like it took hours to prepare.

She wears a simple jacket and pair of padded pants with a number of pockets and utility pouches, striking a more modest appearance than one may expect from a Twi'lek.
