Korel grew up on Coruscant, the heart of the Empire. He never much cared for the Empire, nor did he care for the rumored groups, or "Terrorists", that were fighting the Empire. He never knew his parents, had no family, and not much really was keeping him on Coruscant. He took out a loan to study medicine, and realized that he was really good at it, though the Hippocratic oath never much appealed to him, and making money in the lower sectors as Dr. was becoming dull. He was dreaming of seeing what is out there, to see the other core worlds and even the outer rim of the galaxy. And perhaps he could make a profit out there, while honing his skills and exploring different avenues with his medical expertise. Korel left the core worlds to make his luck in the outer rim.

Korel wants to further his medical knowledge and improve his skills, with particular interest in other species. He however has no issues breaking the hipocratic oath to pay the bills. He wants to push his personal boundaries and see what he can achieve.

Korel owes significant amounts of money from his medical studies. While he obtained the loan through a third party, it turned out the money ultimately came from a well known Hutt. Korel will repay his loans, while exploring the limits of his medical expertise and the boundaries of his human morality.
