Background
Nina Ironstone was a gifted technical student, very skilled with technology even in her youth, though very timid and shy. At 15, she was accepted into a prestigious technical college, and soon after drew the attention of the Empire.
While she didn't technically graduate from the college, the Empire appropriated her service and tasked her with weapons development. Believing that her inventions would be used to defend against pirates and criminal organizations, Nina did as tasked, and designed several potent weapons for the Imperial Military.
However, one day, she learned just what her creations were being put to use for - subjugation, terror, enslavement, and extermination. Nina was horrified to learn this, and when Rebels attacked the facility she was working in, she surrendered and defected to them, seeing a chance for atonement.
Now, she works for the Alliance, developing countermeasures for the very weapons she designed.
Assigned to Sector Force Lantilles, she's mostly worked in the lab so far, but she's done a couple of missions, and has started to become much more confident. She has built herself a basic armored battlesuit, with a blaster pistol on a hands-free weapon mount, and has plans for improvements already in mind.
Motivation
Quest/Redemption - While working for the Empire, Nina created several deadly weapons systems now used by their forces. Now that she knows what the Empire has put her creations to use for, she seeks to atone for their development, by working to develop countermeasures for them, and preventing the Empire from employing any of their weapons for terror ever again.
Duties
Tech Superiority (80 Points) - Nina knows that the weapons she made for the Empire are among the most powerful in the galaxy. She's going to have to match that potency, if not more, if the Alliance is to stand a chance against them.
