Rayelide was born 20 years before the rise of the empire on Dak. His father was a galactic freight captain who trafficked goods legally throughout the galaxy during the days of the republic. This meant that Rayelide's father was chronically absent from his child's life. This became especially difficult when Rayelide's mother fell ill and died while his father was on the job. Rayelide never forgave his father for this and spent his adolescent years trying to piss off his father as much as possible. This came to a head during the tail end of the clone wars when Rayelide decided to leave the planet to pursue a career in smuggling. Although Rayelide wanted to leave without a word, his father found out about his plans and confronted him about them. But, his father was unable to stop him. In their last meeting before Rayelide's departure, his father disowned him and said that if he was going to be a criminal he would have to abandon his family name. Rayelide abandoned his father's last name happily and departed for the outer rim with his new criminal friends.

However, his time as a smuggler was short lived. The rise of the empire made smuggling a much more dangerous and difficult career than it once was. but after the subjugation of Dak and the enslavement of the Mon Calamari, Rayelide's native pride bristled and turned to an absolute disdain for the empire. Little by little, his smuggling gang turned into an independent guerilla force hell-bent on sabotaging the empire at every opportunity. It wasn't even about the money anymore, this time, it's PERSONAL.

Eventually his efforts - and methods - caught the eye of Saw Gerrera and Rayelide's group was invited to join the partisans in exchange for additional support from the rebellion. While Rayelide was initially hesitant to join the rebellion, his hatred of the empire ultimately trumped his hatred of authority in general. Now, he is leading a small group of rebels on a new planet and hopes to incite further rebellion.

Hatred of the empire is Rayelide's primary motivator. He doesn't want to create a new republic and cares little for the "fate of the galaxy", he simply wants to watch babylon fall.

Has a general hatred of authority stemming from the issues with his father. In his adulthood, Rayelide has realized that this predilection of his is infantile and dumb but still feels it nonetheless.

Is very prideful as a Mon Calamari and will not abide any racism against his people. Hates when his planet is called Mon Cala.

Fairly amoral but not evil. Primarily concerned with results.

Lover but inconsistent user of psychedelic drugs.

Somewhat tall for a Mon Calamari with a medium build. Rough burnt orange skin. Missing his right eye due to a freak accident in a bar fight during his smuggling days, typically wears an eye patch.
