Professor Faarian was a relatively respected computer expert in the Gires Technological University. Before the Imperial Era, he taught many promising youths, who later became experts in their respective fields.
Even back then he had more secret "study groups", where he taught investigative journalists, and sometimes other more shady characters in ways to exploit any weakness in any computer system. In his mind there was a very high tolerance for what means could be used, when one really wanted to get something done. In his experience everyone cheated. Those who wished to compete just had to be better.
Of course he did not say anything of the sort. He said it was all good, as long as the cause was just. It was a lie back then.
But then the Republic turned to an Empire. Suddenly some of his best students were ISB agents, and he saw a clear error in his ways. He had been teaching for his entire life. Seeing promising people reach their full potential was an incredibly rewarding thing. Now many of those promising people got sent to camps, unless they focused their efforts in service to the Empire. Ghonas understood the situation. He would teach more ISB-agents, and he kept enjoying most of his past comforts because of that.
It did not feel right anymore, however. Eventually he managed to get a transfer to Lantillies, where he could teach a normal class, about ordinary subjects.
After a year he resigned from those duties as well, making a living by speaking on a few classes and conferences every now and then. As a visiting speaker.
Now he finally had time to set a few things right. He would do whatever he could to limit the Imperial influence, and to neutralize as many ISB agents as he could. Under the codename "Wyrm" he started working for the Sector Force Lantillies...
Operation Rotchi Rumble was Wyrm's First mission, and a great success.
During Operation Two Mules for Sister Syr'aah, Ghonas detonated a stun grenade inside the cruiser, hitting Thysan, and Colt Drumman. This was against the explicit order to not use blast weapons from Major Xet Win. Asie from that, had good teamwork with Thysan.
Operation Howling Dart was a very close call, but Wyrm performed very well during that one. He came home a hero.

Connection: Political

Ghonas is known also as "Professor Faarian" in the Lantillies Technological University. Many in the University (including some of his best students, as well as some of his colleagues) are strong believers in the older Republic values. They can no longer express those beliefs openly. Not even in the university grounds.
And so they formed a more secret community, which seeks to change the geopolitics of the entire Sector. Ghonas is fully committed to this task: diminishing imperial political power where ever he can. Digging up and sharing dirt on imperial officers from their servers, deleting ISB records, and also taking out any major political tools of the Empire is more or less why Ghonas gets out of bed at times.

Political Support

Ghonas wants to win battles for the Rebellion, but he will do so in a way that does not push potential political allies away.

Instead of violence, he resorts to more subtle means whenever necessary. Not because he does not tolerate violence, but because he finds it often works against the user.

If able, he will "enhance" security tapes in locations where less honourable means had to be used.

An older male Duros, with a particularly bleak expression often seen on his face. When appearing as Ghonas Faarian, he dresses well, and visibly carries only his licensed blaster pistol, and standard datapad. When he is "Wyrm, he might have a few extra tricks in his sleeves. But in those cases he often prefers a dark, armored trenchcoat, and if the going gets tough: a full helmet.
