Grew up on Corellia where his family struggled until his father got lucky on becoming entrusted with a diplomatic mission to Corsucant by sheer luck while working for the Corellian spy agency.
At the age of 9 witnessed order 66 occur while on a diplomatic mission with his father on Coruscant.

Joined the Imperial military Academy at the age of 16 on Corellia and rose through the ranks faster than any other Imperial. At the age of 25 he was a Lieutenant in the Imperial military and commanded a group of elite Storm troopers known as The Thanatos squadron. Tasked with eliminating threats to the Empire Ryo Fyr and his squadron took down numerous threats to the Empire but each one he would take down would remind him of the horrors of order 66 and would continue to put doubt into Ryo's mind as to was he fighting for the right side.

Throughout the time at the imperial academy he would often influence his superiors into making decisions that suited him. He then realized this was out of the normal and begun to use the force to influence those around him in a way that was beneficial. With his time leading the Thanatos squadron he encountered a situation where all his comrades would die. In this moment he used the force to create numerous illusions to ensure the enemy was confused and disoriented and pressed the advantage and saved his squad singlehandedly.

The final straw was when he heard the Empire destroyed the entire planet of Alderaan and all it's people. His squad disagreed with what he was telling them however they believed in him and his leadership too much to give him into the empire and they all agreed to tell their superiors that he had been killed in action. His squad consisting of 4 troopers. Kael Aphax, Vash Senesca, Gaen Holst and Juno Eclipse. Juno was the one who wanted to follow him but he told her it would simply be "too dangerous".

He fled to the planet of Cantonica.
