Background

Wen was born on Lantilles and left the planet to pursue an acting career on Coruscant. One the ecumenopolis Wen went through many roles until he received a starting role a starting role in "The Bridge," (Think Brooklyn 99, but Empire) playing the role Lieutenant Jace Hunting, a first officer aboard an Imperial Star Destroyer. The show became reasonably popular, displaying the goofy antics of Jace's subordinates and Captain, with Wen playing the straight man and public ideal of an Imperial Officer. In spite of the comedic and satirical nature of the show it continuously portrayed the Imperial mission of the Empire and it's mission of peace and order in a good light. Wen eventually began to explore the nightlife of Coruscant's lower level, and during the clubbing and partying Jace was pulled aside by a former Jedi who recognized the power of the force within him. This Jedi didn't reveal himself at first merely befriending Wen, and slowly over time convincing him of the truth of the Empire's crimes and of the Jedi Purge. When Wen was convinced the Jedi told him of the force within him and began to teach him the basics of the force. One day on returning to the club Wen usually met the Jedi at he saw the club cordoned off by stormtroopers and the Padawan's body dead one the ground. The emotional stress was compounded by the shooting of an episode about capturing and killing a Jedi fugitive. Wen publicly defected to the Rebellion during a trip during a trip home to visit Lantilles, hoping to inspire other people to join the cause as the Padawan did for him.
