Originally brought to the Jedi Order as an infant, Bashti knows nothing but the Jedi. While a true believer in the Jedi faith, Bashti has at all times chafed under the restrictive tutelage of his Masters. He understands and appreciates the need of such oversight as he is fully aware of the path of the Dark Side is often hidden in plain sight but believes that a personal connection to the Force is as important as the restrictive education. As a Padawan he was given the opportunity to leave the Jedi Temple and explore Coruscant and other Core Worlds. At every opportunity he would head out and connect with the Force through his interactions with the people. He found it fascinating that each had their own lives, their own goals, their own aspirations and, most importantly, their own secrets. Many were innocuous: enjoying guilty pleasures, white lies to your family to boost their confidence; others were insidious: harming others, stealing, murder. Basthi enjoyed learning all he could from those he saw but enjoyed tracking down those who had a dark side, as they fed the literal Dark Side of the Force.

After passing his trials, he jumped at the opportunity of taking on the role of surveillance and knowledge gathering within the Order as he is most comfortable alone in a crowd, feeling the Force around him while believing that the more you know, even someone's secrets, brings you closer to being one with the Force.

Discovery: Seeking out and discovering new worlds, information, or the wondrous secrets hidden among the galaxy's countless stars drives the character's actions. More than anything, he wants to find and experience things nobody else has.

As he is often on the streets, snooping, spying and hunting the enemies of the Jedi Order, Bashti has gained a significant amount of conflict throughout his life. He often meditates on how the Dark Side interacts with his chosen path but firmly believes that he can walk the path of the Light despite getting dirty on the streets.

Emotional Strength: Curiosity - Bashti is driven to learn new things, to seek out and discover new information, and to expand his knowledge and understanding of those things that interest him.

Emotional Weakness: Obsession - Sometimes, interest in something can turn to obsession if not tempered with reason. The character can slip into obsessive state about his need to discover information, accomplish a goal, or even defeat a rival, and he may ignore all else until success is his.
