Background

A long time ago, as a younger man, Ver was an amalgam in his village. Often looked down on by his fellow youth, he felt alone and an oddity. As he grew up he realized his place was not in the village, and left one night. Seeking out a purpose, Ver hopped from planet to planet, seeing some of the galaxy for himself. Still, there seemed to be nothing until one day. Ver had come to an enclave of sorts on a Dantooine, feeling a pull. Once he arrived he was greeted by a Shistavanen named Sarack. Sarack told him of their meeting and Ver was taken aback. Ver was humbled to have met such a wise master who helped him understand his own quirks. Ver quickly came to learn the truth upon meeting the masters other pupils as they arrived, there was hope. Hope that meaning could be found in this galaxy, a chance at purpose. Only time will tell....

After some brief adventures, and a lengthy study of the compass Ver came face to face with one of his greatest challenges to date. It was not the berries he collected but the attack of his masters old pupil Pulsar. Sarrac engaged with Pulsar, and seeing tide tides of battle turn, Ver was determined to help his master. The others tried to stop him, make him come to his sense, but all Ver saw was the man who had given him hope, a new chance at life struggling. This could not stand, and Ver raced into action, going so far as to throw the mysterious compass to Silas; something Ver had been hoarding for some time. He had accepted his fate, and hearing his master express concern over his old fallen pupil, as the life faded from him, Ver lost a part of himself. Consumed as he was, he failed to save his master, and the last thing he felt as his eyes shut from the lightening that racked his body was that he had failed...
