Background
Originally deployed during the Clone Wars in the battle of Geonosia as a LAAT Gun Transport pilot in a squadron of ten ships, and 20 Clone Pilots. As the Clone Wars ground on, their squadron was slowly reduced down to 6 pilots left, and gained notoriety in the Battle of Coruscant, when their squadron was instrumental in the destruction of 3 Separatist Capital ships under the command of Yoda's padawan, Kundi Alhet.
Scorch Squadron was later deployed in the defense of Kashyyk when the Separatist army invaded the Wookies territory, along with Kundi Alhet. The victory at Kashyyk quickly turned into ashes in the mouth of the Jedi and the Clone Army as Order 66 reverberated through the Republic fleet and army on the planet below. Crashtalk and his squadron, responding to their orders and conditioning, obliterated Ki-Adi-Mundi's Jedi fighter in void of space, and sectioned the area to ensure he had not somehow managed to escape. And with the death of the Jedi, darkness began to sink into the army of the republic.
Deployed again and again against more and more questionable targets, Crashtalks doubts about the new Empire grew and manifested. In his final deployment under the fledgling Empire, Scorch squadron was deployed in the subjection of Kashyyk as a source of slave labor. Sickened by the butchery of those who he had once protected, Crashtalk resolved to desert the new Empire.
Going 'missing' on one of Scorch Squadron's long range patrols, Crashtalk made a random hyperspace jump, and crashing his ship unto a planet in the outer rim, and walking away, intent to live the rest of his life in obscurity and on the run.
It wasn't until later that he learned that the rest of Scorch Squadron had been executed, on suspicion that the rest of his brothers had shared 'defects' of their suspected deserter of a brother. Crashtalk joined the Alliance shortly after, determined the undo the evil his existence had helped bring to pass.
Motivation
Specific Quest: Redemption: The Player Character seeks to atone for past sins or mistakes by serving in the Alliance. He may have served in the Empire: he may have been a criminal, bounty hunter, or followed some other pursuit that caused him to take actions he now regrets. Helping the Rebellion may be a way to regain his self-worth.
Duties
Space Superiority: As the Combat Victory-driven PC feels about troop conflicts, so this Player Character feels about ship-to-ship combat and naval engagements. To him, the war will ultimately be decided in the stars, and what the Alliance lacks in sheer numbers, it more than makes up for in the quality and tenacity of its pilots. Every single space battle is an opportunity to show the rest of the galaxy that the Alliance not only can win the war, but is destined to do so
Ace Duty Support: The Rebel Alliance succeeds because of teamwork. From a vehicle, Aces are able to support missions by providing escort, mission insertion and extraction, sensor data, communications, and more. This PC is devoted to helping his fellow Rebels achieve their Duties by providing whatever assistance they need. Although he may not get the same amount of reward or recognition as the people he is helping, the PC has many more opportunities than his allies do to fulfill his Duty to the Rebellion
