Background
At the age of 5, Rann was scouted out by the Jedi to be recruited as a youngling from his homeworld Glee Anselm. Whilst travelling to Coruscant, the Jedi that was escorting Rann sensed something was wrong (Order 66) and decided to hide himself and Rann to underworld of Coruscant; Level 1313.
While hiding in Level 1313, the Jedi received a SOS transmission from the Temple to all remaining surviving Jedi to gather at the rendezvous point. The Jedi, believing it was a trap but still couldn't pass the opportunity if it wasn't decided to leave Rann at their hideout to investigate the transmission.
"Listen Rann, I need you to be brave. I'm going to head out and investigate this transmission to see if there are any other remaining Jedis out there, if i don't make it back..."
*the Jedi hands Rann a note of a symbol and an address*
"...go to this location. Show the owner that symbol on the paper and they will take care of you".
The Jedi never returned after that conversation and Rann followed the note.
After years being raised from the underworld from the gang the Jedi told Rann to go to, Rann has become more of a cautious individual. Trust does not come easily and to him, money is everything as that what it means to survive in the 1313.
