Background
Aurelias was pulled into the Inquisitorius the day he enlisted in the Imperial Army. While he doesn't quite buy into the whole philosophy aspect of his new unit, he understands that this isn't the sort of thing you question.
He quickly learned that his style was considered unconventional, and that was not something to be proud of. So he quickly adapted, learning to adopt the persona expected of an inquisitor when his superiors were watching. In the field however, he maintained his focus on efficiency and precision, values he had spent much of his childhood learning in preparation for the day he'd enlist. It's not quite gone how's he's imagined but he'll make it work if this is where the Empire wants him
Motivation
Faith-Imperial Rule. The order the Empire brings to the galaxy is more valuable than any of the supposed freedoms the rebels claim to fight for. Aurelias believes that any of the Empire's faults also existed in the Republic, simply hidden. At least when the flaws are open, improvement can be pursued.
Morality
Malleability- Aurelias quickly learned that one of the keys to staying in good standing in the Inquisition is acting exactly as they expect you to. But once actually on a mission, no ones looking, so no one can realize you don't fit their ideals.
Impatience-No plan survives first contact with a jedi. Most of the time, it's better to wing it, than stick to one strategy. No one can predict you if you don't plan ahead.
