Background
Benizio Gabagar is a wealthy poet that lives on Naboo. His lineage is the newest among the Houses of Naboo, but he mysteriously has no successors. Secretly an honest-to-god vampire, but appears to be an Anzat. He is most famously known for his epic poem, the Imperium. In the epic, a young man who is a direct ancestor of Emperor Palpatine, journeys to the virgin planet of Naboo, and conquers it from the vile Gungans. It was commisioned by the Emperor himself, and draws a direct line to the Alsakan Conflicts, weaving galactic history itself into a kind of sprawling epic. It codifies the Emperor's rule by making his power the result of cosmic narrative. Benizio admires the work of Omar Berenko and his poem called Defense of Naboo, but considers himself superior.
Benizio admires droids very much. He has a personal collection of over 100 models, and personally helps fund the Dark Trooper program.
Benizio was born some millennia ago, a slave to the Rakkata Infinite Empire. He had no name, only a number. His time spend in the Unknown Regions (to him, the galaxy) was one of suffering and dread. The cosmic horrors of the Rot, the Ssi-ruuk empire, and others was enough to drive any man mad, but Benizio stayed level headed. As the Rakkatas lost their hold on the galaxy, Benizio freed himself and stowed away on a Chiss Ascendancy ship, bound to the other side of the Unknown Regions.
Sadly, that ship was doomed from the start. The Sky-walker on board failed to navigate the mess of magnet storm and other space hazards, and the ship was destroyed in transit.
But fate had something else in store for Benizio. For the rest of his life, he would return to this moment. He never believed it was the Force's bidding, and in all his research, he was never able to discover an event even remotely similar. As his body drifted through space, something changed. And he awoke from death itself.
Benizio spend the next 300 years propelling himself through space. It was a living nightmare, and he was only able to survive thanks to his newfound abilities. Entering the atmosphere of the first planet he found, his body burnt to a crisp as he landed. It took him a month to recover, but recover he did.
He spent the next decade feeding. On people, on animals, on anything that moved and carried blood. He came to learn of the Frenzy that overtook him, and finally was able to subdue his quench after years of terrorizing the small planet of Jakku.
The rest is too long to record. Old Republic, High Republic, Collapsing Republic, Empire; Benizio lived it all. One thing remained certain; he was the only of his kind. The Anzat shared the closest kinship with him, but their obsession with "soup" and weak build revolted Benizio.
