Background

Brann's family had a long distinguished history of space exploration and adventurism. The Empire had done all, but crushed the the wanderlust of the Corellians. Few options were available to those that refused to give up their wings. A pilot could flee becoming a smuggler, join the Imperial Navy, or be a freelance test pilot.

Brann's ego drove him for the need for speed. He joined the ranks of those who tested the Empire's newest and deadliest starfighters. His natural charisma and drive pushed him into the position of de facto leader of many of these daring men.

With this acclaim, he started to feel the burden of each injury and death his flight mates took. Many of them pushed themselves to far to win his approval and be considered a peer.

Brann could not take it any longer. All death was senseless. He needed his death to mean something more than this, and maybe his skills could save a few younger pilots.

As soon as possible, he sought the Rebellion. He doubted that he would survive the war to come, but maybe the Rebellion could spark a fire that would burn the Empire down.

Motivation

Subordinates: Brann’s life prior to SFL was his Corellian Test Pilot Group. He was the oldest amongst them, and this made him the de facto leader. His Boyz as they called themselves are all gone. Many left to fight the against the Empire, and others simply burned up testing New Imperial Starfighter prototypes. So those he serves with are his sole motivation. He always keeps their best interests in mind, fosters their talents, and tries to ensure they have an opportunity to grow as soldiers. He’s also a stickler for accountability; when his troops don’t perform to his expectations, he’s certain to let them know. Brann one day hopes that he will be part of something as good as his Boyz

Space Superiority: As the Combat Victory-driven PC feels about troop conflicts, so this Player Character feels about ship-to-ship combat and naval engagements. To him, the war will ultimately be decided in the stars, and what the Alliance lacks in sheer numbers, it more than makes up for in the quality and tenacity of its pilots. Every single space battle is an opportunity to show the rest of the galaxy that the Alliance not only can win the war, but is destined to do so
